Landscapes in the city:

places of memory,

opportunities of the future

3-7 October 2022

To celebrate the 25 July 2021 listing of Paseo del Prado and BuenRetiro, a landscape of Arts and Sciences as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and to spark debate about how we view green heritage as an essential component of urban landscapes, Madrid City Council has organised an International Forum on Cultural Urban Landscapes.

Attendees will include leading national and international specialists, as well as experts from UNESCO and various institutions and organisations related to cultural landscapes and heritage. The event is also an opportunity for the City Council to mark the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention.

This international forum will take place between 3 and 7 October at CentroCentro in the Palacio de Cibeles, with support from the Community of Madrid, the Ministry of Culture and Sport and the ICOMOS National Committee.
